Account Settings
Q: Where can I manage my account settings?
A: You can manage your account settings by clicking on Manage Account at the bottom of the website.
Q: How can I change my password?
A: You can change your password by clicking on Manage Account at the bottom of the website,
clicking Edit my account settings, and then entering your old password and new password into the password change
section.
Q: Can I change my username?
A: No, you cannot change your username on Gamestar Mechanic. For any further questions, please
send in a support ticket or e-mail us at support@gamestarmechanic.com.
Q: How do I add security question answers?
A: If you have not already set security answers, you can go to Manage Account on the bottom of
the web site and then click on Edit my account settings. There is a section where you can set your security
answers which can be used to retrieve your password in case you forget.
Q: How do I change the security question answers I set?
A: To change your security anwers first click on Manage Account on the bottom of the web site.
Click on Edit my account settings and near the bottom of the page you can change your security answers.
Q: Can I disable social features (facebook, twitter, edmodo)?
A: Absolutely. You can disable social features such as Facebook, Twitter, or Edmodo sharing
by clicking on Manage Account on the bottom of the website and clicking on Edit my account settings.
Q: I want to add an e-mail address to my account.
A: You must be 16 years of age or older in order to provide an e-mail address for your
account. If you have not added one already, you can click on Manage Account on the bottom of the website
and click on Edit my account settings. You can enter an e-mail address on that page which can be used to
receive notifications and reset your password.
Q: How can I change an e-mail address?
A: You can change the e-mail address on your account by clicking on Manage Account on
the bottom of the website and clicking Edit my account settings.
Q: Can I get emailed about comments and updates on my games?
A: Yes you can! You have to change your notification settings by clicking on Manage
Account on the bottom of the website and clicking on Manage message notification settings. On that
page you will be able to set which messages are sent to your Workshop, or if you have one set, your
e-mail.
Q: I want to delete my account.
A: If you wish to delete your account you can click on Manage Account on the bottom
of the website and choose Delete my account. Please keep in mind this is permanent, and that when
your account is deleted all games, reviews, and comments are removed.
Q: How can I disable user-generated content?
A: Click on Manage Account on the bottom of the website and click on Edit my account
settings to change your user-generated content setting.
